Education Mission of the Evangelizing Sisters of Mary

By MCESM Admin / October 4, 2021

The majority of the Catholic schools under the leadership of their respective Congregations are aimed at transforming the surrounding society by conveying holistic education. The Evangelizing Sisters of Mary is one of the Catholic Institutes...

The foundation of the Evangelizing Sisters of Mary was built on saving fellow Africans through Catechetical instruction. These Sisters implement their charism through social, healing, and teaching ministries across the globe.

Fr. John Marengoni safeguarded the Charism of the Evangelizing Sisters of Mary by emphasizing outreach to non-Christians and reinforcing catechetical instruction as part of their mission.

In fulfilment of their charism and charity work, the Sisters have established various educational institutions across East Africa. They manage and support students up to tertiary levels through sponsorships and holistic development programs.

Management of Secondary Schools

The Evangelizing Sisters of Mary manage mixed-gender schools with a missionary rotation of leaders. Their school management promotes motivation and development through training and workshops.

Discipline Management Strategies

Discipline is managed through peace education, parental involvement, counselling, and signing conduct agreements. Students receive both academic and spiritual formation.

Academic Performance

High academic performance is achieved through discipline, motivation, time management, and initiatives like academic clinics and student feedback forums.

Financial Management

Despite financial constraints, Sisters manage school activities using tuition and donations. Auditors ensure accountability, while school fees may be adjusted with parental consultation.

Administrative Challenges

The Sisters face challenges from students' social backgrounds, uncooperative teachers, peer pressure from media, and financial limitations. Strategic leadership and external support are key to overcoming these.

Conclusion

The Evangelizing Sisters of Mary achieve high discipline and academic excellence through effective administration, regular parent engagement, and transparent financial practices.
