THE MISSIONARY CONGREGATION OF THE
EVANGELIZING SISTERS OF MARY (M.C.E.S.M)
The Religious Missionary Congregation of the Evangelizing Sisters of Mary are called to imitate Jesus Christ the first evangelizer and Catechist. Catechetical instruction is the core among other ministries that we carry out. Through catechesis, we help the people to know, celebrate, and contemplate the Mysteries of the Risen Lord!
Our emphasis is on the first Evangelization through Primary Catechetical Instruction which is directed to Non-Christians by initiating the children, Adolescents, young people, Adults and even those who have physical impairedness into the sacraments of Christian initiation (Baptism, Eucharist & Confirmation).
We put effort into planting the Church among people and groups who do not believe in Christ. This is carried out in Africa without excluding any part of the world.
We also bring the Church to a full development where it is already implanted by following up the baptized Christians by giving a Continuous Christian education in families, especially in Small Christian communities (SCC); we also promote different vocations in the Church e.g. Family life, Religious, missionary priestly vocations, Pontifical Missionary Society (PMS). We also give Religious Instructions to schools, colleges, and universities. Above all, we are called to share a life witness wherever we are or sent for the Greater Glory of God.
Mission Animation Office was set up in 2006, by the Missionary Congregation of the Evangelizing Sisters of Mary. This Office is a response to the needs of many orphan/vulnerable children, women, people living with HIV/AIDs and caregivers facing a hopeless future in the neighbouring areas where we work in.
To improve and sustain the quality of life for OVC households by addressing social determinants of health in Kware slum areas of Ongata Rongai. To empower the marginalized with education and skills so as to make them recognize their human rights and dignity in the society. To reach out to all people through Evangelization and promotion of integral human development.

To glorify God through transforming the lives of vulnerable groups Spiritually, Socially, Psychologically, Emotionally and economically empowered with knowledge and life-coping skills.
To enhance the quality of life by empowering the communities to participate in activities for sustainable development.
To improve the capacity of the communities by providing holistic care/support within family settings.
Social Ministry is a technical and holistic approach to implement our Charism of "Planting the Church where it has not been planted and bring it to fulfillment where it is already planted".
Some Members of this Congregation are trained as Social Ministers. They are dedicated to the holistic development of a human person by advocating for human dignity through the promotion of Social Justice and option for the poor.
The Evangelizing Sisters of Mary who are trained in Social Ministry mainly work with Vulnerable Children such as Orphans, poor children in the Slums; HIV/AIDS affected and infected children and adult, People with Disabilities, Single Mothers, widows/widowers and the poor both in Slums and rural set up.
